yard manager position overview

The yard manager position generally consists loading mulch with a loader and processing mulch with a grinder. Tree service experience is preferred, but not required. Other responsibilities may include:

Job Duties

·        Operating a firewood processor

·        Operating a mulch grinder

·        Loading mulch and firewood for customers

·        Organizing & maintaining the yard

·        Washing trucks and maintaining equipment

·        Miscellaneous tasks around the shop building

·        Hauling branches and logs on the tree crew

·        Picking up chips and putting down dirt from stump grindings

·        Mulch & firewood deliveries

·        Installing mulch

·        Use of safety equipment and following safety procedures

Qualifications

·        Ability to lift 50-100 pounds

·        Class A, B or C license preferred, but not required

·        Tree service experience preferred but not required

·        Ability to work in all weather conditions all year round

·        Positive attitude and good work ethic
