groundsman position overview

The Groundsman position generally consists of working hard with our tree crews hauling branches and logs to chip up the debris. Tree service experience is preferred, but not required. Other responsibilities may include:

Job Duties

·        Positioning and operating the chipper

·        Dumping or assisting with dumping chips

·        Picking up chips and putting down dirt from stump grindings

·        Mulch & firewood deliveries

·        Installing mulch

·        Miscellaneous tasks around the shop building

·        Washing trucks and maintaining equipment

·        Filling up with fuel, clean out and inspect truck at the end of the day

·        Communicate any issues regarding equipment

·        Use of safety equipment and following safety procedures

Qualifications

·        Ability to lift 50-100 pounds

·        Class A, B or C license preferred, but not required

·        Tree service experience preferred but not required

·        Ability to work in all weather conditions all year round

·        Positive attitude and good work ethic
